But if they do not apply it in their real world, probably many mistakes will happen to them.
Conformity is a new movement nowadays. If everyone is wearing red, more people will follow. But what if they do something bad? Like bullying a person in Facebook. It does not mean that what everyone does is actually good. Sometimes you have to measure the reason behind an action in order to decide what you will do.
Of course, you know that is wrong. But sometimes people are blinded by many things that they do not realize that what they did is already wrong. That what makes them irrational as they could not even sense the consequences of their action. You do not want them the youth to be contaminated with that mindset. For that reason, a proper education must be set.
Ethics will educate the students and improve their skills in decision making. Actions can sometimes be misleading and it confused an individual a lot, debating whether that act is bad or good. There are many versions of goodness and evil so as true and false. With teachers teaching students with this concept, this can be a starting point for an adolescent to think and decide something.
These concepts have to be taught in schools. For sure, lots of educators had a vision of a good society. Therefore, this must not be taken for granted.
